A little over half a day into our journey, I must say our general impression is in line with what we’ve been reading in the tripadvisor discussion thread (the best source of information we found prior to our trip). The place is beautiful, our room is gorgeous, the people who work here are nice, but there are plenty of rough edges. So far though, the good far outweighs the bad.
We checked in at around 21:30 on May 26th. The flight from Frankfurt took about 2.5 hours (it left over 30 minutes late). We had to wait about half an hour for someone to take us to our room, but other than that check-in was pretty smooth. Here are some pictures of the entrance to the reception area and the reception area itself (including front desk). The blue lights are a bit cheesy, but now I’m being petty, no? All the interior design, furniture etc. are impressive.
